With the green open spaces of Clapham Common and its tennis courts and Brockwell Park with its world famous lido only moments away the area is popular with both families and young couples.
Herne Hill is more laid back than nearby bustling Brixton. At its heart is Brockwell Park, one of the most beautiful and user friendly parks in London. It offers 125 acres of open space with community green houses, a working mini railway, tennis courts, football pitches, childrens play area and of course the Lido - an open air swimming pool with a modern gym and spa.
Herne Hill has a fantastic selection of artisan shops, cafés, grocers with a wonderful Sunday market and a great selection of good pubs with excellent food, wine lists and range of ales.
Elm Park Gardens is close to excellent transport. The closest tube station is Brixton Tube which is a short bus ride away. Brixton Tube station is on the Victoria line, which runs a 24hour tube service on Friday and Saturdays, and offers a journey time into Oxford Circus of 12 minutes. The National Rail station goes into Victoria and out to Orpington, Kent.
